Abstract and Poster Requirements​:

 

Topics relevant to antimicrobial stewardship or infectious diseases including but not limited to:

• Quality improvement

• Antimicrobial resistance

• PK/PD studies

• Outpatient stewardship

• Healthcare-associated infections

• Antimicrobial use evaluation

• Institutional protocols

• Order sets

• Antimicrobial restriction

• Case reports with focus on treatment of antimicrobial resistant infections or unique infections

• Antimicrobial stewardship program development and evaluations

• Diagnostic stewardship

• Special populations

• Interventions

• Trends in antimicrobial prescribing.

Abstract ​​Word Limit: 500 (excluding title and authors)

​

​Restrictions:

• Contains no proprietary (brand) names in the title

• Spells out pharmaceutical acronyms and uses standard abbreviations

• Study methodology supported by scientific merit with methodology designed in a manner likely to answer the research questions (for research projects)

• Non-promotional and free of commercial bias

• Abstracts for research or quality improvement projects should include 4 sections:

  1. Background

  2. Methods

  3. Results

  4. Conclusion - To include text only, no figures or graphs.

• Abstract for case reports should include 4 sections:​

  1. Introduction​

  2. Case

  3. Discussion

  4. Conclusion -  To include text only, no figures, or graphs.

Abstracts should be submitted in Microsoft Word or PDF.

Please submit author contact information and upload abstract HERE! Abstracts should be submitted in Microsoft Word or PDF format.

Deadline for abstract submission is Monday, February 17th @ 5PM CST.

 

Authors will be notified of their abstract/poster acceptance via email. Additional information and instruction on the poster session will also be included.

 

Poster Session

 

40" H x 60" W poster board, fasteners, and easels will be provided for poster display at the conference center. A poster size of 36" H x 48" W is suggested, however, there are no size requirements. It is also acceptable to print rigid, foam board posters that fit on the easels without having to fasten them to the provided poster board.  Please contact jon.derringer@baptist-health.org for more information on abstract or poster submission.
